Nabta-URP 17-44-0 (Urea Phosphate)
Highly acidic crystalline fertilizer (pH ~2.0 in solution). Dual purpose: nutrient supply + soil/water pH correction for alkaline and calcareous soils.
Application Guidelines
- Fertigation: Use in all fertigation schedules when potassium is not required. Excellent for cleaning calcium carbonate deposits from drip lines
- Foliar: Low concentration (< 1%) for phosphorus supplementation
- Soil application: Acidifies root zone in high-pH soils, improving micronutrient availability
- Key benefit: In alkaline soils (pH > 7.5), URP unlocks fixed phosphorus and improves Fe, Zn, Mn uptake
- Caution: Do not mix with calcium or magnesium products. Start with lower rates in sandy soils
Disclaimer: Application rates provided are general guidelines based on published research and industry practice. Actual requirements vary by soil type, crop variety, climate, irrigation method, and existing nutrient levels. Always conduct soil and tissue testing before application.
